Queue Modes

RaidQ has five queue modes that control who can join, and who gets picked for the raid group first. Switch modes from chat with !set, or by tapping the mode button in the top bar of the /que page (shows FREE/SUP/PRI/RSVP/PVP) and picking one from the list that opens below it.

Picking a mode also sets the raid group size. Each channel remembers the last size used in each mode (changing the size with !size or the −/+ buttons saves it for the mode you're in), and picking a mode brings that size back. A channel that has never picked a mode or set a size starts at 5. After that, a mode you haven't resized uses its default: Everyone, Supporter Only and Supporter Priority 10, RSVP 5, PvP 1. If more people are on the raid group than the new size allows, the people last in the raid group order go back to the front of the queue, in the same order, with no raid credit and no entry in Undo. Picking the mode you are already on sets the size again (to that mode's remembered size). You can still change the size afterwards with !size or the −/+ buttons.

"Supporter" here means a viewer with a paid tier on your channel (Tier 1 to 4). Tiers come from the member list you upload on the Members page, or from !tier. RaidQ doesn't pull membership from YouTube or Twitch itself.

The current mode is shown on the /que page and OBS overlay. On the overlay it reads FREE (white), SUPPORTER (gold), PRIORITY (purple), PVP (blue) or RSVP (teal), and turns red with · CLOSED added while the queue is closed. See Overlay.

Everyone (default)

!set free

All registered viewers can join with !here. People are picked first-come-first-served unless the tier-priority toggle is on (see below).

When to use: casual raids, community raids, any time you want no membership gating.

Supporter Only

!set supporter

The older keywords !set mem, !set members and !set supporters still work and do the same thing.

The queue is restricted to supporters. Non-supporters who type !here get Supporter-only raids right now. Unlock access: !here mem and are not added to the queue.

Exceptions (non-supporters who can still join):

  • Subscribers and channel members — anyone chat reports as a subscriber or member when they type the command gets in automatically, same as mods and the streamer, whether or not they hold a RaidQ tier
  • Viewers with an active Hall Pass — granted by you with !tier NAME hp or !tier NAME hp 1h / !tier NAME hp 3d
  • Viewers who type !here mem — this adds them to the queue with a FREE tag on the /que page. They stay in the queue but won't be picked for the raid group until you grant them a Hall Pass, or until you switch back to Everyone mode.

When to use: supporter-exclusive raid sessions.

Supporter Priority

!set priority

or

!set pri

Everyone can join the queue, but supporters get picked for the raid group first. Once all waiting supporters have gone (or there aren't enough to fill the group), the rest of the spots go to everyone else.

The response in chat confirms: "Queue mode: Supporter Priority. Supporters fill first; remaining slots go to all others."

When to use: supporter appreciation raids where you want to prioritize supporters but still include everyone.

RSVP

!set rsvp

Picks people the same way as Supporter Priority: everyone can join the queue, supporters get picked for the raid group first, and the remaining spots go to everyone else. The raid group size is set to 5. Use it for scheduled raids where people have signed up ahead of time.

Picking RSVP also turns the RAIDING button on the /que page red (see the /que page). You can turn that off under Queue settings.

The response in chat confirms: "Queue mode: RSVP. Supporters fill first; remaining slots go to all others."

When to use: small, planned raids with a short list of people.

PvP

!set pvp

For player-vs-player battles instead of raids. Anyone can !here, and the group is picked strictly first come, first served — tiers, members and the priority toggle are ignored. Picking PvP sets the raid group size to 1 (like every mode, it sets the size: 10 for Everyone, Supporter Only and Supporter Priority, 5 for RSVP, 1 for PvP), and anyone beyond that goes back to the front of the queue. The current boss is left alone, and !size and !set <boss> still work. The RAID GROUP heading is relabeled Battler on the overlay while PvP is on; the /que page has no such heading and shows the same raid group count box in every mode.

While PvP is on, nothing earns raid credit: clearing the deck (!done, !next, !clear, !set clear, setting a new boss, or the /que buttons) removes people exactly as usual, but no raid is recorded and no streak or raid count moves. !here replies without the streak and raid-count text, and !snipe and !set snipe @user are turned off (!snipe undo and !set unsnipe still work).

Credit is decided by the mode at the moment the deck is cleared: people already in the raid group when you switch to PvP stay there, and clearing them while PvP is on credits nothing. Switch back to Everyone, Supporter Only or Supporter Priority and normal crediting resumes.

For how raid credit and streaks work, see How streaks work.

The response in chat confirms: "Queue mode: PvP. Anyone can join, first come. No raid credit or streaks while on."

When to use: PvP sessions, where a raid-credit record would be wrong.

Tier-Priority Toggle (separate from queue mode)

This is a separate on/off setting that changes who gets picked first within whichever mode you're using:

!size priority # turn on: higher tiers get picked first (T1, then T2, and so on)
!size nopriority # turn off: first-come-first-served

When it's on, 1–2 spots in each pull are always kept open for people with no tier (1 spot when your group size is 3 or less, 2 spots above that). If at least 3 spots remain after that, which needs a group size of 5 or more on an empty deck, one of them is set aside for each tier level (highest first) and the rest go to the highest tiers waiting. With smaller groups, tiered viewers simply go before untiered ones.
