Chat Replies

The Chat replies section of the Settings page (/streamer/settings#chat, the Settings tile on your streamer dashboard) lets you change the replies RaidQ sends in your chat. Today it covers everything RaidQ can say in answer to !reg. Each reply has its own card with a text box, clickable variable chips, a character count and a live preview of what chat will see.

To change a reply, edit the text, click a variable chip to drop it in at the cursor, check the preview, and press Save replies. The next !reg in your chat uses your wording. A channel that never edits a reply keeps the exact wording it has today. Reset to default on a card puts that reply back to the original text (press Save replies to keep the change).

The !reg replies

Reply When it fires Default text Variables
Registered A viewer registers a name for the first time (or onto a row that had no real name). Registered: {pogo} - use !fc to get code for {streamer}, use !here to join queue when a raid you want is announced. {pogo}, {streamer}
Name changed A registered viewer types !reg ? NewName. {pogo} registered {pogo}
Already registered A registered viewer types !reg again (also when they type a friend code). {pogo}-No need to !reg again. Are you looking for !fc? {pogo}
No name given !reg with nothing after it. Type !reg followed by your Pokémon Go name. Example: !reg {example} {example}
Friend code instead of a name The name is a 12-digit friend code and the viewer is not registered yet. Use your Pokémon Go in game name instead of your friend code. EXAMPLE: !reg {example} {example}
Name too long The name is over 15 characters. Name too long, max {max} characters. {max}
Registration closed Registration is closed (!stop). Also used by !join and !add. ‼️ Not accepting new friends right now. Usually this is for a short time, please check back in a few minutes. 🫶 none
Roster full The channel has reached its registered-viewer limit (Starter plan, once plan limits are on). Roster full, ask the streamer none

Variables

Each variable is filled in when the command runs. The count on each card assumes every variable is at its longest.

Variable What it becomes Counted as
{pogo} The trainer name the viewer typed up to 15 characters
{streamer} Your name from !set name, or "the streamer" when none is set up to 15 characters
{example} The example name shown in help replies (from !set name, else your channel name) up to 40 characters
{max} The name length limit (15) up to 2 characters

A reply can only use the variables shown as chips on its card.

Limits

  • A reply must fit in 153 characters when every variable is at its longest. Chat messages are capped at 195 characters including the viewer's name in front, and this limit leaves room for a long name.
  • A reply cannot be blank, cannot start with / or ., and cannot contain $(.
  • Extra spaces and line breaks are collapsed into single spaces when you save.
  • If the stored wording can ever not be used, RaidQ sends the default reply instead, so chat never goes quiet.
  • Reset to default restores the original text. If you save with every reply at its default, RaidQ stores nothing for your channel.
  • Your saved wording is kept while the feature is locked. Until you upgrade, the default replies are used.

Plan

Custom chat replies are a Legendary and Mythical feature, see Plans & Pricing. Plan limits are not switched on yet, so today every channel can use them.
